Position Summary
We are hiring an experienced Welder II to support a custom fabrication shop with a strong safety culture and small, accountable team.
This is not an entry-level role. We need someone who can step in immediately, read prints, handle fit-up, and produce quality welds with minimal supervision.
What You’ll Do
- Perform MIG/TIG welding on carbon steel, stainless, and aluminum
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and shop drawings independently
- Complete fit-up, layout, and fabrication of custom parts and assemblies
- Maintain high weld quality with minimal rework
- Identify and resolve fit-up and fabrication issues on the floor
- Support production flow and meet deadlines
- Follow and uphold all shop safety standards and PPE requirements
What We’re Looking For

3+ years welding/fabrication experience (job shop or custom work preferred)
- Strong blueprint reading and layout capability

Proficient in MIG welding (TIG experience preferred)
- Ability to work independently without constant direction
- Consistent quality, attention to detail, and reliability
- Team-oriented with a strong work ethic
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry 50–80 lbs regularly

Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and standing throughout the shift
- Ability to work in a shop environment (heat, noise, welding fumes with proper PPE)
- Manual dexterity to operate welding and fabrication equipment safely
Preferred
- Experience with complex/custom builds (non-production)
- Ability to help guide or support less experienced welders
- Familiarity with organized, efficient shop practices (5S/6S mindset)
Pay & Benefits
- Starting at $26/hr (DOE – higher for strong candidates)
