Maintenance Supervisor

Job Overview

The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for keeping up to date equipment maintenance logs, inventory of machine parts, and update preventative maintenance manual quarterly. Performs the day-to-day routine maintenance of the facility as outlined by regulatory agencies and internal standards. The Maintenance Supervisor assists with all aspects of the property's maintenance including the preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance duties associated with a welding environment. This person is also responsible for following the maintenance program to protect and maintain the property.

Essential Duties:

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the following activities. These activities are not inclusive. However, they are indicative of the types of activities normally performed by a Maintenance Supervisor.

• Requires established organizational skills, with attention to detail and solid time management, and good interpersonal skills.
• As a key employee of the building operations interior and exterior, the Maintenance Team Leader is essential to the longevity of all equipment and the aesthetic nature of the property.
• The Maintenance Team Leader must perform the job duties with a view toward projecting a professional and competent image: Service to inside and outside vendors in a friendly and outgoing manner is also essential, while timeliness and maintaining a clean atmosphere are key.
• The position is fundamental to all mechanical functions of the facility and includes working closely with the Maintenance Technicians, Production Team Leader, as well as Production Employees.
• Strong leadership skills, customer service skills, technical skills, and problem-solving abilities are required.
• This position requires frequent exposure to the outdoor climate and weather conditions. The normal working environment requires routine and frequent meetings of critical deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Performs the day to day routine maintenance of the facility utilizing their maintenance staff in a leadership role.
• All building repairs done by outside vendors
• Monitoring all systems of the plant and performing any and all basic repairs as needed.
• Demonstrates a routine and effective ability to adjust to changing circumstances. Responds to phone calls and correspondence in a timely, professional manner.
• Encourages maintenance staff to behave in a professional manner and comply with company’s safety standards.
• Willing to work as a team player.
• Supports the company’s philosophy, goals, and adheres to Company policies.
• Observes all safety standards and participates in the Company’s efforts to provide a safe work environment.
• Understands and follows the directions and tasks given by direct supervisor and conscientiously completes them.
• Organizes time effectively and successfully balances the competing demands of multiple projects.
• Keeps up to date equipment maintenance logs, inventory, and update preventative maintenance manual quarterly.

Education – Experience Required

• A minimum of 5 years of maintenance leadership experience.
• Direct experience with maintenance planning and computer systems.
• Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills required.
• Requires individual with a high degree of professionalism and the ability to work well independently and effectively with others, on a daily basis.
• PIC and automation experience 
• Successful candidate will also be detail oriented, able to take directions from the Plant Manager and handle multiple tasks, prioritize work effectively, and see a work project through to completion.
• Must have strong working knowledge of basic trades, such as, welding (MIG/TIG/ARC), electrical (up to 480VAC), plumbing, pneumatics/hydraulics, and painting equipment.
• Ability to analyze and interpret technical aspects, pumps, and motors, mechanical systems with a similar degree of complexity.
• Must be proficient and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Teams, and Excel applications.
• Able to work on-call and extended hours (including after hours and weekends).
