Specialized Worker - MIG & Flux-Cored Welder

About the Role
Top Metal Solutions LLC is looking for experienced MIG and Flux-Cored Welders to join our growing fabrication team in Adkins, TX. This is a hands-on position for skilled welders who take pride in their craft, work safely, and thrive in a fast-paced production environment. Key Responsibilities
•⁠ ⁠Perform high-quality MIG and Flux-Cored welding in flat and vertical positions.
•⁠ ⁠Work with materials ranging from 11 gauge up to 1" thick.
•⁠ ⁠Read and interpret welding symbols and basic blueprints.
•⁠ ⁠Identify and correct common weld defects such as porosity or lack of fusion.
•⁠ ⁠Set up, adjust, and operate welding machines (Millermatic 211, 252, 255).
•⁠ ⁠Follow OSHA-based safety standards and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Required Qualifications
•⁠ ⁠Authorization to work in the United States (valid work permit or status required).
•⁠ ⁠Proven experience in metal fabrication or welding shop environments.
•⁠ ⁠Ability to read and understand basic fabrication drawings.
•⁠ ⁠Proficiency with MIG and Flux-Cored welding machines and related equipment.
•⁠ ⁠Valid SSN or ITIN with valid work authorization, government-issued ID, and a U.S. bank account.
•⁠ ⁠Ability to work effectively in a primarily Spanish-speaking environment.
•⁠ ⁠Willingness to obtain AWS D1.1 and/or D1.3 certifications in the future (company-supported at later stages).

Physical Requirements
•⁠ ⁠Lift up to 70 lbs without assistance.
•⁠ ⁠Stand and weld for extended periods.
•⁠ ⁠Work in environments with heat, dust, or noise.
•⁠ ⁠Consistent use of PPE as required by OSHA standards.

Compensation & Benefits
•⁠ ⁠Competitive Pay: $20.00 per hour (W-2 employment).
