Summary of Duties: Under the immediate supervision of a Parks Supervisor or a Foreman perform skilled work related to maintenance and renovation of streetscapes or community grounds, parks and recreation facilities, pathways, landscape, open space reserves, cul-de-sacs, lakes, and ponds.
Essential Employee Responsibilities: During emergency conditions, subject to being called to work in the event of a disaster, such as a hurricane, or other emergency situation and are expected to perform emergency service duties, as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and extreme cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration.

Knowledge of: Painting techniques. Construction techniques that pertain to parks amenities; Knowledge of the proper and safe use of both arc and gas welding equipment; Broad knowledge of carpentry including proper measuring, cutting, and joining, the operation of all power tools including radial saws, routers, belt sanders and drills. Skills are to include not only rough framing, but more refined carpentry.
Education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Experience: Two (2) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licenses and Certifications:
Pre-employment Requirements: Pass pre-employment drug screening, pass background check, and eligible status on Motor Vehicle Report.
