We are seeking a dependable Maintenance Assistant to support the repair, upkeep, and organization of our warehouse environment. This role is responsible for a wide variety of hands-on maintenance tasks that help keep our equipment, tools, and facility operating safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate enjoys working with their hands, solving practical problems, and supporting a busy warehouse team.
The standard working hours are Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM with a one-hour dinner break and two 15-minute breaks.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain production fixtures.
- Perform welder maintenance, including making and cleaning welder electrodes.
- Maintain equipment according to manufacturer guidelines (e.g., oil changes and air filter replacements on air compressors).
- Perform basic facility maintenance such as light bulb replacement, door repairs, and painting.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance shop.
- Order and track maintenance supplies and monitor shop equipment for safe operating conditions.
- Maintain and follow preventative maintenance schedules.
- Inspect and clean pallet jacks and repair damaged pallets for reuse.
- Set up and maintain sonic sealers, including horns, boosters, and converters.
- Clean trays, carts, and shop equipment used for repairs and maintenance.
- Assemble, install, and modify new equipment when required.
- Build and repair charge connectors used in production.
- Maintain inventory of shop materials and supplies.
- Perform general shop cleaning including sweeping, mopping floors, and occasional painting of shop floors and tables.
- Support production when needed, including assisting with assembly, packing and testing batteries, charging batteries, running wire processing equipment, or emptying cardboard.
What You’ll Bring
- High school diploma or GED required.
- General maintenance experience in a warehouse or production environment preferred.
- Basic mechanical knowledge including simple wiring and equipment repair.
- Ability to safely operate power tools such as saws, sanders, drills, drill presses, and hand grinders.
- Valid state driver’s license required.

- Good organizational skills and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a production and warehouse environment with frequent movement, standing, and hands-on work.
The starting pay is $18.25/hr. This position is eligible for a 90-day review and a one-year review.
