“A Day in the Life”

As an Inventory Lead, your day starts with a quick safety toolbox talk and a walk-through of the yard to confirm containers are organized by type, size, and repair status. You move and stage inventory with the forklift, keep accurate In/Out logs, and complete daily counts and control checks while updating the Ops Coordinator on availability and priorities. Throughout the shift you inspect, repair, and maintain containers and related assets, process return and shipment reports, and receive/load units to and from third-party vendors to keep dispatch moving accurately and safely.



“What You’ll Do”

  • This is a working leadership role
  • Maintain Forklift In and Out Logs and other inventory reports and move inventory with forklift.
  • Yard organization for containers by product type and size state of repair
  • Light welding and electrical experience, use of power washer and other power tools, general maintenance skills including carpentry and painting.
  • Manage the prep and availability of all inventory at the yard (Have the ability to report progress and needs between Management and teams)
  • Inspect, repair and maintain sufficient quantities of all inventory types.
  • Perform basic AC service for office and combo units including filter changes, thermostat replacements and cleaning.
  • Responsible for daily inventory counts and controls reporting daily activities to the Ops Coordinator.
  • Working with the Ops Coordinator to ensure the goods in process and dispatch process is done accurately.
  • Organize and ensure we have proper building materials inventory levels for container repair. 
  • Maintain material inventory reports.
  • Maintain the inventory of the driver-related items to ensure proper DOT standards. Including, but not limited to, keeping an inventory of oil, fluids, lights, fuses, safety equipment, mud flaps, air hoses, and any other items needed for the big trucks to keep the drivers in compliance.
  • Ensure each asset leaving is prepared and quality checked.
  • Process return reports and shipment reports daily and sent to Ops Coordinator.
  • Receive or load assets to/from third party vendors and report activities to Ops Coordinator. 
  • Support with service calls when possible. 
  • Drive and maintain company service vehicle. 
  • Back up truck driver on a as needed basis.
  • Monthly inventory responsibility.
  • Ensure safety compliance is met and able to perform daily safety toolbox meetings 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


“Must Haves”

  • 2-3 years experience in a warehouse / construction environment
  • Basic computer experience
  • Forklift certified with container driving experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience repairing containers, van trailers, and metal waste bins
  • Prior experience working in a yard environment, processing paperwork, keeping accurate inventory, basic carpentry and basic electrical ability. light welding experience and AC troubleshooting ability
  • Be able to work independently
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience working/repairing containers, van trailers, metal waste bins etc. 
  • High-energy, can-do, get-results person with high integrity.
