To operate a variety of machinery and equipment in the performance of a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in the construction, maintenance and repair of cemetery streets. This is the entry-level class in the Equipment Operator series. This class is distinguished from the Equipment Operator II by the performance of the more routine tasks and duties assigned to positions within this series under close supervision. This class is typically used as a training class; employees will need some related work experience. After gaining knowledge and experience of operations, position can be moved to a higher job classification when an opening becomes available.
